Standardization seeks to create an environment to optimize a client’s ability to collect, utilize and report off the data collected with the goal of enhancing business literacy and decision support, facilitating the ability to support an integrated system (including centralized management of data standards) and ultimately enhancing an organization’s ability to manage clinical quality and finances.

ACS HCS utilizes a collaborative approach that leverages the experiences and expertise of client resources and the knowledge of ACS HCS MEDITECH consultants, including utilization of ACS HCS implementation tools and templates.

Major activities include: Leadership, application knowledge and facilitation of discussions related to the design process, including discussion of standards requirements and options.

Assistance with creation of data standardization models focused on strengthening data integrity and data collection across the enterprise.

Representative Deliverables:

• Review and recommendations related to MEDITECH’s Corporate Management Software (CMS), if utilized by the client
• Recommendation for design and development of the standards function, including structure, responsibilities, standards support plan, service level agreements, and standard workflows
• Facilitation of development of a standardized naming conventions and mnemonics document
• Facilitation of development of documentation for each MEDITECH application that may include items such as approach and overview, dictionary profile, dictionary framework, parameters worksheet and master checklist
• Periodic status reports and other forms of documentation
