ACS and dbMotion Announce Strategic Partnership to Deliver Medical Information Sharing Solutions DALLAS, TEXAS and ATLANTA, GEORGIA: May 16, 2006 – Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS), a premier provider of business process outsourcing and information technology solutions, and dbMotion Inc., a provider of Web-based data-sharing technology that helps facilitate regional health information organizations and health information exchanges (RHIOs and HIEs), announced today that they have strategically partnered to deliver a medical information sharing solution for the global healthcare market. The joint solution will enable healthcare organizations worldwide to quickly and cost-effectively meet their specific service and technology requirements for medical information sharing networks. Long a major player in the commercial healthcare industry, ACS has progressively strengthened and expanded its healthcare solutions business by pioneering innovative and customized solutions for healthcare providers. ACS delivers healthcare-specific IT outsourcing, consulting, revenue solutions, and analytic systems to clients that include hospitals and health systems, integrated delivery networks, and other providers, as well as technology firms, state and federal government agencies. The ACS/dbMotion partnership will help further expand ACS’ breadth of capabilities and offerings for the healthcare market by adding a technology solution specifically designed for medical information sharing. At the same time, the collaboration will enable dbMotion to increase its market penetration by linking with an industry-leader in healthcare solutions. Both companies anticipate that the synergy of their offerings will create an industry standard for medical information sharing that can be used around the globe. “We are confident that whether a healthcare organization is looking for technology that supports services, or for services that support technology, as well as the capacity to share information across global and regional lines, they will find it through this pioneering joint-solution,” said Peter van der Grinten, general manager, US and Canada for dbMotion, Inc. dbMotion’s state-of-the-art Web-based data-sharing technology, the dbMotion™ Solution, which will form the basis of the joint-solution, helps facilitate RHIOs and HIEs. It provides participating healthcare organizations with secure access to select components of patient medical files maintained at facilities that are otherwise not connected or have no common technology through which to share data. Fully operational for the past five years, the dbMotion Solution already connects information for more than four million patients, representing more than two billion individual records of clinical data. Van der Grinten explained how it works: “Secure information exchange is accomplished by creating a ‘Virtual Patient Record’ that integrates relevant patient information, while enabling all source information to remain intact in the original system, location and format. Data can be shared within and across organizations even if standardization of language and protocols (i.e., interoperability) has not been achieved.” With this capability, the two companies see tremendous potential for opening up healthcare information sharing capabilities worldwide. “We look forward to helping to transform healthcare information sharing capabilities around the world with this partnership,” said Ann Vezina, ACS Group President of Commercial Solutions. “When healthcare organizations choose ACS as a partner, they gain access to the best people and the best technological resources – to improve their overall service and capabilities. Partnering with dbMotion enables ACS to further deliver on this mission by providing clients with access to a comprehensive and proven solution to their medical information sharing needs.” ACS, a global FORTUNE 500 company with more than 55,000 people supporting client operations reaching nearly 100 countries, provides business process outsourcing and information technology solutions to world-class commercial and government clients. The Company’s Class A common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “ACS”. ACS makes technology work. Visit ACS on the Internet at www.acs-inc.com .
