Our Outsourcing team support clients around the country with day-to-day desktop issues, maintenance of healthcare information systems and support with multi-million dollar implementations.   This position will require minimal travel, and the person chosen for this role will be able to work remotely.

Job Summary

Responsible for the installation, monitoring, support and maintenance of McKesson clinical and financial applications

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Liaison between vendor and client for technical issue
• Perform scheduled maintenance and system down times.
• Install vendor supplied patches and updates.
• Synchronize production, test, and miscellaneous databases as required.
• Support peripheral devices as necessary
• Resolve technical issues as they occur
• Verify and test backups as required
• Monitor system and database performance
• Setup and maintain periodic maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Install operating system patches and updates.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Education

• Two to Five years of McKesson Technical Support experience working with the McKesson Pathway, Horizon Clinical and STAR products.
• Knowledge of MS/Windows 2000/2003 server administration and support
• General knowledge of Intel based server hardware administration and support
• General knowledge of local Area Network support
• SQL knowledge is essential
• Knowledge of HL7 a plus
• UNIX / LINUX knowledge a plus
